Take a trip up the Expressway to Floorstyle in Runcorn and you’ll be assured of a friendly welcome from Eric, Alex and Dean. Every time I visit it’s a pleasure to observe their approach to customers, always going that extra yard to help out, offer advise and work out their best price.
Attending ‘hands on’ practical training and product information courses on a regular basis, they keep up with product trends, providing up to date information. Eric's enthusiasm is quite contagious and I always feel lightened when I leave, it’s not surprising that his office is lined with letters of thanks from many satisfied customers. Eric constantly asks himself how he can improve his business, not one to becomplacent; and it’s this drive in him that has taken Floorstyle from the small showroom next door to the present much larger premises. I was surprised to hear that McDonalds had a part to play in Floorstyle’s success story... It was whilst Eric was waiting for his meal, listening to others placing their orders when he started to think how popular the McDonalds Meal Deals are. ‘We need a meal deal’, Eric announced to Alex - ‘something catchy, that people can associate with us’ and so the Room Deal was created. He had hit the nail on the head! Amazing value for money - laminate flooring which covers 12’ x 10’, with underlay, for an amazing £57! Well known in the area for this fabulous offer, Eric says it still never ceases to amaze him when people walk in and ask for ‘A Room Deal’. In addition to the room deal, Eric runs other promotions, typically 50% off - yes 50%!!

Last Easter Eric introduced carpets to the business and he can’t believe the response they’ve had. Again, prices range from a mere £4.50 per Square yard up to the beautiful 80 % Luxury British Wool carpets. Available to order in cut lengths. As Floorstyle has become a household name, it is now gaining business in the commercial sector, which recognises their prices, product knowledge and expertise are excellent. Two of Eric’s best customers for their commercial properties are Phil from Tanners and Barry from Creative Pulse. Recently Floorstyle has provided flooring at Cheshire Oaks, Halton Lea Shopping Centre, beautiful apartments at The Albert Dock, Lingerie Lounge in Widnes, Aroma Italia and Weston Point School, to name but a few. Floorstyle welcomes insurance enquiries, in fact insurance work has quite a large part to play in the business. The future is very exciting... More expansion plans with lots of new and exciting modern and traditional ranges - I was allowed a peep, but mum’s the word!!

Proprietor, Eric Burke has 26 years experience selling timber and flooring products and is always on hand for Alex and Dean to tap into this knowledge.
The larger showroom (2,000 square feet) accommodates a vast selection of flooring with more choice in each price range. With great variations on offer, Eric explained that when a customer walks in with a specific floor in mind, they rarely walk out with it because they didn’t realise the great choice on offer and the many ranges have blown their socks off!
