With a total refurbishment before Christmas the restaurant has been transformed into a much lighter, more open plan area complimented by a magnificent bar and furniture.

The team of professional staff - Giuseppe, Renato, Fernandes and also Robert, who came from a large cocktail bar / lounge in Chester have brought a wealth of experience and flair to Amoré, which adds to the atmosphere and success of the Italian Restaurant.

New chefs have joined head chef Kevin in the kitchen and produce superb quality, freshly prepared food (the only thing that’s kept in the freezer is ice-cream)!

As you could see from the menu in last month’s edition, the choice is extensive and very reasonably priced. A whole garlic bread pizza is just £3.50 and if you like it spicy, try the Arrabiata topping. Pizzas start at £7.50 and Main courses start at £8.50, proving that it doesn’t have to cost a lot to eat at Amoré.

At the beginning of March a Mercato Specials Board was introduced with a minimum of six extra dishes daily. Items are specifically purchased for this as the Specials are not usually featured on the menu. For example Monk Fish Wrapped in Bacon, Lemon Sole, Venison, Tuna Steak and Rosé Veal (cared for calves) have been enjoyed.

Due to the popularity of the restaurant especially at weekends, the dining hours have been extended to 6pm - 11pm and as the bar has the same licensing hours as downstairs you are welcome to stay later for drinks or you can enjoy free entry to MACS next door and dance the night away. A lot of effort has gone into raising the age profile in MACS with a new DJ playing ‘smooth cheese’ - the songs you all know and love!

Monday night bands at Amoré are now less rocky and more fun - the type of music the ladies like to dance to.
