Helsby & Frodsham Lions visited Alvanley Cricket Club during their Junior Practice evening to see them in action.

One of the key pieces of equipment used for coaching the juniors is the automated bowling machine. This has recently been repaired, at great cost, and required new bowling balls specific to the machine.

The Lions presented the Cricket Club with a cheque to help purchase them, for which A.C.C club members are very grateful. Margaret Marsh, secretary of Helsby and Frodsham Lions commented “It was good to see the young cricketers in action, their ages ranging from 9 to 13 years old and including several young girls”.

Helsby & Frodsham Lions meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7.30 pm in the Railway Inn and would welcome anyone interested in coming to join them.
