Local lad James Robinson wins gold to become British Champion in the peewee category age 10 in the British Taekwondo Championships held in Manchester.

James’ semi final resulted in James stopping his opponent in the first round with 2 head shots leaving his opponent unable to carry on .

He then faced Jack Mutton of Kings Taekwondo U.K. it was a very evenly fought final where James was losing 19 points to 17 then in the dyeing seconds James caught Mutton with a head shot winning the fight 20-19.

James’ father Simon Robinson said “James has been training 3 times a week for the last year in preparation for this competition and I am so proud of what he has achieved”
