The Helsby running club would like to introduce Essar, as our new head line sponsor for The Four Villages ½ Marathon. The race this year will be held on Sunday, 22nd January 2012 at 11:00 am and we encourage local residents to spectate and cheer the runners on. The Four Villages Half Marathon has always been about local community and the organisers are proud to be able to donate a sizable sum from the race proceeds to local charities and good causes. We would like to thank our sponsors – Essar, Asics, Running Bear – for the support they give the race and our community. We have also enjoyed the support of local businesses such as The Helsby Arms and The White Lion. Last year we donated over £6,000 to the following charities and local good causes, most of which helped out on the day, helping to make the Essar Four Villages Half Marathon a truly local community event.
