Kingsley Transition Initiative Print E-mail

We are a group of Kingsley residents with a common interest in the environment and in our community. We believe that to face the challenges of Peak oil and Climate change we need to reduce our consumption of fuel and energy and live a more sustainable lifestyle based on building a strong and resilient local community.

At present we have 3 groups of local residents working on a number of projects, as well as a Steering committee over-seeing the Transition Initiative itself.

The groups look after the following projects:

Allotments group - led by Brian Leahiff.
Local Market group - led by Alison Davies.
Energy Group - You may have noticed that fuel prices are creeping up again.

We are developing a range of ideas and actions to reduce energy consumption.

It is time for you to join the fun. We would particularly welcome someone who can help us with the publicity campaign for our markets and events.
If you would like to participate, and you will be most welcome, please ring Simon on 01928 787813 or Allan on 01928 788335.
