This lovely family run business was established in 1977 and has shops in Frodsham and Northwich, employing a total of twelve people.
Ron Munro started the business with a home selection service, visiting customers in their own homes before branching out to his own premises. In 1992 Ron’s wife, Val joined him to help alleviate the load followed by son, Darren and daughter Kelly when they finished school, approximately 18 years ago.
The fully trained fitters are all carefully selected, not only for their expertise but also for their personality, customer care, and commitment to the job.
In the early days, between 1977 - 1992 Ron manufactured his own carpets in Widnes, employing 30 people. However, as imported carpets became so competitively priced and such good quality, Ron made the tough decision to close the factory. Knowing what a caring, considerate man that he is I’m sure this wasn’t a decision to be taken lightly.
Fast forward 23 years and Kingsley Carpets & Interiors also incorporates Beds, which have been part of the business since 1986. Curtains of Frodsham was purchased in 2006 and more recently, four years ago Weaver Gallery; initially established in 1990, joined the family business portfolio.
Kingsley’s are a main stockist of Sealy, Silentnight and Rest Assured beds, offering free delivery and set up as well as free removal of your old bed. Pop into the showroom to try the beds out for yourself!
As far as carpets are concerned, all leading makes are supplied as well as all types of laminates, vinyls, karndean and polyflor flooring both to domestic and contract markets. Ron and his team offer free uplift and removal of old carpets on supply of new. There’s a huge range to choose from in the showroom but if you can’t get there Kingsley’s offer a choose at home service. Samples can be viewed in the comfort of your own home and this has the benefit of being able to see the carpet colours against your decor. Free advice and planning is offered and you will get a price there and then, fully fitted.
Curtains of Frodsham manufacture all of their own curtains / romans / duvets / soft furnishings from all leading companies to create the perfect look that you have in mind, or if you are in need of inspiration, they are only too happy to help with their interior design service. In fact Ron is quick to say, that this part of the business is particularly full filling, providing someone with the fruition of their dreams. Curtains of Frodsham also includes many types of blinds - roller, vertical and Venetian.
In addition, Kingsley Carpets & Interiors are also stockists of Ashwood stain free sofa’s, which are British made and come in a variety of styles and colours.
Since Weaver Gallery joined the group, all types of picture framing, canvas stretching and sports memorabilia framing is available, bringing Kingsley Carpets and Interiors into it’s own as a one stop shop.
