Welcome to Frodsham Pharmacy which was opened in March 2021 by local family man, Christian Logue who is a Clinical Pharmacist and Prescriber. Initially Christian ran the pharmacy single handed but as it has gone from strength to strength over the last 15 months, he now employs six members of staff.... An incredible achievement in such a short time!
Christian has a lot of experience in pharmacy and healthcare with over 25 years’ involvement in running and designing pharmacies and developing services in both community and hospital healthcare. Christian also spent a number of years developing programmes to support patients manage their health and medical conditions more effectively, encouraging patients to better manage their health with the help and experiences of other people with the same condition.
In amongst his healthcare experience Christian also spent a number of years working for Liverpool Football Club as Head of Operations even though he is not a Liverpool fan!
Christian has lived in Frodsham for 13 years and his children attend Frodsham CofE school.
Being very passionate about helping the local community and bringing that personal approach to go the extra mile for patients, Christian opened Frodsham Pharmacy to do just that. His vision, along with the rest of his team is to ensure that patients not only get well but keep well and are as informed as they can be to manage their health and their medicines.
At Frodsham Pharmacy, delivery of prescriptions is FREE to everyone, you can even have a prescription sent through to them from a doctors appointment to save you waiting while it’s processed and it will be delivered to your home later that day!
They can also take care of ordering repeat medicines for you, ensuring you never run out.
Your medicines will be delivered at least 2 days before you are next due to have them. If you’re not going to be in, non-fridge medications can be left in a safe place and if you don’t happen to be in when their driver is delivering, the pharmacy will call you to arrange a different time and day for delivery.
If you want to order yourselves this is also no problem, they will deliver them as soon as they receive them from the surgery.
Christian has a very good relationship with the Doctors and prescription teams at both Helsby and Frodsham Health Practises and if a patient has a problem with a medication, he will personally liaise with the Doctors to resolve the problem.
With access to many suppliers, Frodsham Pharmacy isn’t restricted to just one or two like some pharmacies, so medications are more easily sourced. Again, if there are any problems with sourcing certain medicines, Christian will liaise with the Doctors to discuss potential alternatives for his patients.
Personalised care for all patients is paramount and the staff at Frodsham Pharmacy build a great rapport with patients, with regular phone support and access to Christian and the team for face to face consultations if required.
A big part of this relationship is taking the time explaining to patients the reason why they need to take the medication and the importance of taking it correctly.
With the facility of a private consultation room, a wide range of other NHS Services are also available. These include blood pressure testing and free emergency hormonal contraception as well as supplying medication including antibiotics for certain ailments, saving a doctors appointment. Examples of these are the prescribing of antibiotics for urinary infections, impetigo, thrush in babies and eye infections.
Flu vaccination is another NHS Service that is available, in fact we had ours there last year. Bookings are now being taken for Autumn 2022 appointments. Book yours NOW!
In the next couple of months a whole host of extra services will be available, saving valuable Doctor’s appointments and waiting times.
Another service that Frodsham Pharmacy provides is Blister Packs which are especially valuable for patients who take several medications throughout the day. Many pharmacies no longer offer this service for patients, so it has been greatly received.
Frodsham Pharmacy also specialise in supplying medicines and services to more than 10 care homes in our local and surrounding areas.
The onsite pharmacy shop offers a range of 60-70 most popular pharmacy products and if there isn’t a product listed that you need, it can generally be ordered for the next day. There is also a larger range of products on their website which can be ordered.
At Frodsham Pharmacy local people really are at the heart of everything they do and the friendly, knowledgeable staff are only too happy to help as much as they possibly can.
Christian is also involved in supporting two local initiatives - Bee Friends and Cheshire West Integrated Care Partnership and he is pleased to be one of the sponsors of Frodsham’s Christmas Festival.
